Meet Jacqueline Washington

Jacqueline Washington is a proud U.S. Army Veteran and debut children’s book author with a passion for storytelling, music, and empowering others. A former intelligence officer, she developed a deep appreciation for the power of words, connection, and creativity. Her first book is inspired by her greatest joys—her four beloved children and her husband of over 30 years.

Born from love, resilience, and life experience, Jacqueline’s writing reflects themes of family, diversity, emotional awareness, and belonging—core values she carries into every story she tells.

Now based in Louisa, Virginia, Jacqueline dedicates her post-military career to helping fellow veterans find meaningful and sustainable employment. Through community outreach, advocacy, and mentorship, she continues to serve with heart and purpose.

When she’s not writing or mentoring, Jacqueline can be found singing, engaging in local veteran support efforts, or enjoying the peaceful beauty of Virginia countryside life.

🎖️ “I write from a place of deep love—for my family, my community, and the veterans I continue to serve.” — Jacqueline Washington
